Black Windbreak for fence

Hi,

Can someone please let me know where I would get black windbreak fabric to attach to a boundary fence at a reasonable price. I need about 120 metres and have been quoted €2.80 per metre for 0.9m width or €3.50 per metre for 1.22m width, which works out quite expensive!

Or if anyone has any other suggestions to protect plants from getting 'burnt' by the wind I would appreciate it.

I live in Co Waterford so any supplier in the (sunny!!!!) South-East would be great.

my other half thinks you could use the green netting that is put up around scaffolding.

he thinks it would be much cheaper and you should be able to source it from any builders merchants (Heiton Buckley/Morris etc )

or maybe from a hire shop's scaffolding section (Waterford Hire or Pierce Hire)

I have no connection to any of the above.
