Bills & Rent - Deposit care ?

Hello !

I'm livin' in a flat where i paid 1100e of security deposit. The rent has to be paid normally every month.

It's been 1 week and a half we should have pay the rent but we didn't done it, and we've left the flat. We had about 300euros of Bills unpaid.

Is the deposit made to pay those incidents ?

If the bills are in your name then the utility company (electricity, gas, whatever) will chase you for the money.

You are unlikely to get any/much of your deposit back if you have left without notice.

No - the deposit is to cover for damage to the landlord's property (house or contents).

Was there any damage to the unit when you left it? I doubt that you will see your deposit back - you wouldn't in North America, anyway.
