I am a PAYE worker and have just found out that there was a mistake made by my HR dept on their calculation of my BIK on my wages for 26 weeks of 2007.

I am told I am due a rebate and as the company has obviously sent in the P35 to revenue already do I have to make the claim or is it done through my employers as the error was on their side?

Thanks for any help.

As it was for a prior tax year I believe you will have to request a rebalancing statement for 2007, contact your relevant tax office, you'll need a copy of your P60 and the amended details from your Employer re the benefits you actually received, it should be quite prompt once the forms are submitted
