Bi-Fold doors

Good morning,

I'm investigating installing a bi-fold door in my new build instead of patio doors. Is anyone aware what size openings my blocklayer should be allowing? We are hoping to incorporate a three panel bi-fold door (three panels that slide back).

I have asked one provider to give me measurement information but i want to see if these doors are standard sizes as not to be restricted to one provider later.

Thanks,

Goldie.

These people seem to make them and have downloadable info on this page from their site - [broken link removed]

This is not a recommendation, I know nothing about the particular products or company.

Hi Goldie
I put in Bi Fold doors in a new extention last over a year ago now made up of 4 panels spanning over a 3 metre opening. Got them form a company called Aru Joinery. Found them very good to deal with and price was very competitive too. They are wooden doors that can come in any stain you like. Would highly recommend them. I can't remember off the top of my head how much of an opening we were to leave for the doors. These doors were made up to fit our opening though so they were custom made too. Delighted we got them now and get great use out of them especially on sunny days.... We can open up the living area out onto the deck.... best money we spent in doing the extension. Check out their website www.arujoinery.ie
Guy i dealt with was called Eamon. Nice guy to deal with
