Married Couple earn 110000 and 60000 and come out net with 8100 per mth paye workers
If the only salary coming in was 110000 what would be the net amount? Couple pays large amount each mth in childcare fees and are questioning whether it is really worthwhile having both parents working. Thanks.

If only 1 salary coming in, then no need for expensive childcare. What's the real problem - is it that the person earning the greater salary may not be in employment soon?

The problem is I can't work out exactly what the net take home pay would be if only the one salary -110000 was coming in, to figure out how much they would be down by the lower income earner not working. Thanks.

This is a first world problem.

With someone on 110K a year there really is no need for the other person to be working incurring massive childcare bills.

Thank you. Mortgage demands and negative equity would dictate otherwise but thank you

Surely if the other person stops working you will be way worse off?

Have you tried using a calculator like this one? http://www.taxcalc.eu/

I make it €5,668 p.m. take home pay with 1 spouse working earning €110k in private sector

It's €4,891 p.m. if that's a public sector job (but just think of the extravagant pension...)
