Best way to store a matress

I have a king size matress which is only a few months old but I currently have no use for it. I want to store it in the garage for probably a year until I move to a bigger place has anyone got any tips on the best way to do this to avoid it getting damp or would I better off getting rid of it?

I assume that there is no room under a bed to store it.

We did this with a mattress for some months until we were able to dispose of it to a good home.

Only way to store is horizontal, it's never the same if stored vertically.

maybe wrap it in plastic and store vertical,i just stored some stuff in a garage for a year and the stuff is very damp/clothes in boxes...but the garrage is on its own along with a row of others... if your attatched to a house it might be better x

Oh dear the garage isn't attached to the house, I was afraid it might get damp might try and sell it so
