Best way of managing work and personal diary/calender/to do?

Hi all,

This is probably a basic question to some, but I just want to set myself up properly, I am looking to keep a diary (sick of writing in the books!), calender and to-do list electronically.
I use Outlook at work for email and the above items and find it quite good. I would like to make more use out of it to keep long diary entries though. Will probably be getting a phone that I will be able to sync with email & calender.
My main problem is that I want to keep a personal diary also. I use Gmail for email, not impressed with it's calender. Would it be better to setup this account on Outlook or are there better programs out there? Again, would like to be able to record memos attached to certain dates. Are there phones that could sync to multiple Outlook/other email client accounts? Would a PDA be needed?

Any recommendations as to the best setup please?! Thanks!

You can have multiple calendars in outlook, so one option would be to set up one for work and one for personal life. You then can set the personal calendar to 'private' so that no-one else can see the entries, this can be handy if you have an exchange server in work and people view your calendar to see your availability. Also, if you are using just one calendar, individual entries can be set to private.

If you have a phone with symbian like most of the newish nokias (and I'm sure many other phone companies and operating systems offer this feature also) you can set it to synchronize with one or more of your calendars over bluetooth.

Thanks Circle. Sounds like I just need to get a bit more from Outlook & learn a bit more about it.
