In the next few months we will be getting a new kitchen installed and we want to get a modern range type oven. I was wondering if anyone has any experience with the following brands:

Belling
Rangemaster
Smeg

Or any others (not AGA as it will not match what is planned).

I have heard that the Rangemaster can be unreliable, and its hard to get parts - anyone corroborate this?

Thanks

I bought a Rangemaster 110 "Classic Deluxe" Duel Fuel last Feb. and Mrs. Sparkrite swears by it. It looks the part and also feels of quality.

I did a fair bit of research into it before purchase and didn't come across the points you make about unreliability and difficult parts sourcing.

I didn't think either Smeg or Belling did anything that offered the old style appearance of the Rangemaster styles, eg. "Classic Deluxe"

I recently got a Rangemaster Kitchener 90 dual fuel, special offer on Currys UK.

Its top quality, and built really well.

I had been on the verge of buying a Belling, but did a lot of research and seen that Rangemasters are highly acclaimed.

To me, it appears that price seems to match to quality in terms of ranges. Buy a cheaper one and you get cheap, spend more and you will get a better, more reliable oven.

I have a Rangemaster toledo which is a 110cm all electric range style cooker.

Its great quality, I'm very happy with it. I've had it 5 years

No idea how easy parts are to get, as I have had no problems and no need for parts.

I've had a dual fuel Waterford 100cm since last year and love it!

Thanks for your comments everyone.
Had never heard of the Waterford brand, I will check them out, any ideas on prices?
I was also recommended a Britannia.
