Best account for 11K

We have 11.5K which we want to put away for 12-18 months for our house deposit (maybe a little longer). We have an EBS special savers account for the wedding but we can only lodge money via Direct Debit (aaahhhhh).

Could anyone recommend a savings/deposit account or investment? I've looked at itsyourmoney and on this forum but I'm still confused....
Any advice?
 
Have a look at these -First Active (5.22%) up to 15k, Halifax (5.15%) up to 10k, AIB (5%) up to 10k. Northern Rock (5%) no limit. Or you could lock it up in a term account e.g Anglo Irish Bank for 6 months (5.35%) or Rabodirect (5.25%) also for six months. There are many options. Look up the 'Best Buys' forum.
