My husband has been made redundant and there is little prospect of work in his current field.
I found above course and just looking for recommendations or advices re same?
Are there jobs to be had in this field? thanks
Also not an ounce of policing this legislation. Check any real estate office to see how many have valid rating for their properties. Numbers in public sector are due to due therefore even fewer people to police it. Check to see how many assessors there are in your area. Meath has over 100 assessors.
Yes & my understanding is that you have to do the BER course for new buildings prior to doing a further course for existing buildings, or perhaps that has since changed, considering no new houses are been constructed at present.
I'd just like to advise people in this thread that www.chevron.ie DOES NOT offer training in BER assessment or anything else in that area. These services are being offered by chevrontraining.ie, a completely different and separate business. Just so you know!

The only real way to get work is to be referred some by an Estate Agent, if you have any good contacts in this area, it maybe worth pursuing. At the moment there is very little market activity and therefore no requirements for BER's, despite the legal requirements that all homes for sale or to let, must have a cert.
