BER assessment and smart bulbs (probably led)

Bulbs are surely going to have a marginal impact on your BER result? They're a tiny user of energy on the greater scheme of things.

Aren't the bulbs you linked to LED anyway? There would be some gain going from an old style bulb to an LED but little to no benefit moving between LEDs. Unless the WiFi feature is that energy intensive which I don't believe they are.

The power consumption of the first one linked is 7W. That's negligible in the context of the overall energy usage of an average home. Forget about the bulbs and look at the bigger picture.

Thanks all - was just wondering as I wasn't sure if these were LED or not - think BER only checks to see if they are LED or other low energy type bulbs. With changes to way energy ratings are done for bulbs its hard to detect where these bulbs fit. I just wanted to make sure I hadn't made a change that would make things worse.
