Benefits on Maternity Leave

Hi there,

Just wondering if anyone can advise if you can claim single parent family allowance when on maternity leave.

I am unmarried and will be receiving state maternity pay while on maternity leave. I am renting a room from a friend at the moment.

Is there any other entitlements available? Im unsure as to what I need to apply for or whats available.

i somehow doubt this cause you are in employment, but again this depends on how many hrs a week u are working etc, but its a no id say

You can get OPFP and half rate Maternity Benefit.
