Hi a friend of mine is considering becoming a money lender, He asked me for advice but couldn't get him much, do you think is their much money to be made from it? is there much business out there?
 
There's a big demand for credit but the issue for people is affordability. Your friend could look at giving longer term loans at higher interest rates.
 
Very high interest rates over 23%~
lending to vulnerable people and intimadatory collection tactics.

But an excellent business model. Small loans over short time frame with excellent credit control.
