Hi all,

Looking to purchase a few large padded bags or mats or bean bags to put in a kids playroom. bascially they can jump around and not injure themselves '' too much''. anyone ever purchased anything similar?? any help appreciated.

I wouldn't go for beanbags..they're for sitting on.. and if the kids jump on them they will move from under their feet and you could be looking at a nasty accident.
I'd go for padded mats

We bought our daughters two beautiful Dora Bean Bags - they looked amazing and were stunning in their bedroom. About six weeks later the girls had found or made a hole in the material and the whole room was full of those little white air balls - it was mayhem. Never again to bean bags - ever.

Blackrock Market has a stall that sells beanbags. Good value - and you can machine wash the covers. I don't know if you are in Dublin? Actually we bought ours there 3 years ago and it is great quality. Very robust. 3 small children jump/throw/tackle it about every day and it is grand. I think they are hand made so that could be the difference.

"Serious" Beanbags are required. I have a "Fatboy" which is completely wipe clean and gets thrown around a lot, just beware of the sizes as they are huge.
Buddhabag is another, they have a shop in the Italian Quarter just off the north quays in Dublin.

Thanks for all the posts ill try out that market and the shop in north quays, They seem pretty exspensive. How much for the bean bags in the market. That white insulation balls sounds like good fun if your a kid though!!!!!! that been the problem prehaps

20 euro for a good sized beanbag. Ours is cream coloured corderoy, machine washable cover. At the Blackrock market they have loads of colours and fabrics and fabric samples and will make them up for you if they don't have what you are looking for.
