Did a search but can't see this question oreviously...
We bought contemporary bath with nice contemporary taps to go with it.
Plumber said taps couldn't be fitted - we directed him to discuss with the hop where we bought them.
He came back and told us that the shop agree, taps can't be fitted underneath without damaging bath and/or bath surround.
I spoke with shop and they said that no, this is not what they said - they told the plumber that the taps can be fitted, just with a lot more effort on plumbers part.
When we went back to plumber he said that he'd have to use flexible piping and that he wouldn't recommend it as the pressure in the system means that the pipes would start leaking in few years.
Now - thing is, we don't know whether this statement about flexible piping is true, or whether he is just trying to avoid the extra work mentioned by the shop assistant in the bathroom suppliers.
So - question is, do any of you have any experience of flexible piping? Good or bad? would you recommend?
We would only use it on the bath taps and rigid piping everywhere else around the house.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
