Bath : 5mm Acrylic vs Carronite

I would like to hear feedback from those of you who went from a 5mm acrylic bath to a carronite bath.

Is the carronite much more rigid on the sides than the standard acrylic (unfortunatly none where available in the showroom i went to)?

It is worth the €300/€400 extra?

Never seen a carronite bath but have often seen kitchen counters and sinks made from one moulded piece. It is very strong, much more than acrylic, don't know if its worth that much more though.
