Basic accounts course for small company

Hi All,
My husband recently formed a limited company (he works in IT consultancy). I was wondering if you would have any recommendations on a basic accounts course that I could do, covering VAT, payroll, filing returns? I have come from a business / IT background so have very little experience in this area.

Try your local county enterprise board - they often run accounting for small business courses. Good luck with the venture.

Most software packages are fairly easy to use, for payroll, I use collsoft and I advise my clients to use it. very straight forward and so should remove that headache.


Talk to your accountant, perhaps they do training, or they can recommend a system a for you to use.
