Can someone please advise me :
I have lived and worked in Newry fot the past 6 months with a view to applying for bankruptcy in the North, I am seperated (my ex wife and kids live in Dublin in the family home) and have substantial debts in the South. I read a previous post on this site that stated the court in Belfast will not allow a seperated man from the South go bankrupt and that your application is deferred. Is this still the case and if so what are my options?

Hi Kilfin,
If you plan on going bankrupt in the North I strongly urge you purchase reputable advise for this process. As a Southerner you will need every 'I' dotted and 'T' crossed, as it will be obvious that you are availing of their more progressive approach to insolvency. Your comi will be under serious scrutiny and if the judge can find any valid reason to reject your application, she will. Can you hold out another three months and move to mainland UK?
