I understand that in applying for bankruptcy that the courts fee is 650 approx,, can these fees go up considerably if for instance the property has not been sold or perhaps in the case of a joint-mortgage, if one person has emigrated with no contact information. ?

Why would the fee go up in those circumstances, Is the 650 Euro not a set fee?

i thought i read somewhere that the fees to the official assignee and court fees may be higher if the case is more complex. I could be wrong though.

Bronte, do you know is it hard/expensive to get the title deeds of a property, it seems if going bankrupt you must give them to the OA ?

As Time says, one would assume the OA has to deal with this, you cannot get the title deeds as the bank is holding them, and the bank is not going to release them to you.
