Our solicitor has contacted us to day the bank require a planning search on our house. Thing is, we drew down in December. Seems odd timing.

I'll pay it tomorrow, but is this a bit odd getting a request like this 4-5 months after drawdown?

Its possible that registration has completed and the solicitor has returned the title deeds to the bank and no planning search was done at the time of the drawdown.

A planning search can cost upwards of 150.00 . If the bank had been specific at the time that they required a planning search, it would have had to be done anyway.

Your solicitor will be hoping that nothing untoward shows on the planning search as it will be their neck on the line!

Exactly this.

Cheers for that. Tis a switcher. Planning search coming in north of €250 unfortunately. :(
Had a planning search when we bought the place which returned nothing untoward, and we've done nothing to the house since so it should be no bother.

Its more that there might be a CPO on your house!

Don't worry- you'd know all about it if there was !
