Bank Porter job

Hello
There is a bank porter's job coming up in September in our town and friends of mine have who work there tell me i should go for it. I currently work most weekends and late at night which is starting to get to me after doing it for 6 years now.
I am just wondering what would the payment be like and what would the terms of contract be .
Before i go for an interview i would like to know some information about the job as in duties etc.

Duties are generally opening the bank in the morning, closing the doors in the evening, and maybe when cash deliveries are comming and going.
Running the odd errand about the town, maybe droppng off the post, or maybe the occasional hand delivery or messages.
General bits and pieces, like minor DIY jobs etc maybe.
There may be a seperate cleaner in the branch, depends.

I don't know what the pay is like, I would imagine not fantastic, given your current unsocial hours, you may ne getting a shift payment, if so the bank pay could be less when this is taken into account.
Have an idea of how much you need so if they make you an offer you can accept or reject or try and negotiate for more.

The fact you are in your current job for 6 years should show you are dependable and reliable, which is something they will be looking for.
I don't know what the term of contract will be like.
