Bank of Ireland launches financial well being programme

The Sunday Times picks up on it in an opinion piece, although I don't know what "spiky" means. Makes me sound like a punk.

AIB boss cuts a lonely figure
Spiky Brendan Burgess, of the Fair Mortgage Rates Campaign, has accused Bank of Ireland of “hypocrisy” over launching a Financial Wellbeing initiative while charging a standard variable mortgage rate of 4.5%. The average rate across the eurozone is 1.7%.

This, he says, amounts to additional interest of €500 a month or €6,000 a year on a €200,000 mortgage. Even if this is comparing apples with oranges, the bank is still charging a lot for its fruit.

TBH .... I can't visualise you as a punk Brendan.

On a serious note though; campaigners are often portrayed as cranks, crack pots etc. so they're just lumping you into the that group of complainers/rock the boaters etc.

By attacking the messenger, they are clouding the message.

Keep chipping away at it Brendan... your efforts are much appreciated.

Sorry Brendan, but I’m just reading it with my Sunday morning coffee...”spiky”!

You should sue!
