Hi there. Just two things.
Part time or full time. If the business is closed on a Sunday+Monday always what entitlements are the employees due ?
Was there a chance for part time employee ? And if this was during s time when a colleague was employed would they be entitled to back pay ?

Full time employees are entitled to a day in lieu or a paid day for a public holiday. A lot of firms would give an increased annual leave entitlement in lieu if they don't ever open on a Monday.
Assume part time would get a pro rata time or pay.

As luckystar says, a full-time employee should either get an extra day's paid leave or 1/5 of your weekly pay on top of your normal wage.
With part time employees, they need to have worked at least 40 hours in the previous 5 weeks, then they are entitled to 1/5 of their average weekly pay over the previous 13 weeks, or the equivalent hours in time off.

Thanks nutso. Couldn't remember the exact procedure for part time.

Yes they would be. They should first ask the company and of they refuse to pay I think their only other option would be to take a case to the workplace relations commission.
If they worked regular part time hours over 8hrs per week they more than likely would be entitled to it.
