Just want to be sure of what I'm hearing. I had a few reasons to claim overpayment of tax for 2009 so sent in a return and just got a balancing statement showing a greater rebate than I expected with cheque promised in the post.
Great I thought! But apparently the balancing statement ignores the income levy (already paid) - can this be true? do I now have to pay back the income levy? what about other people who won't inquire and just think their calculation was wrong.
Doesn't the state need the money?
