A statement was read out on today’s show about an interview in November 2020 in which an “offensive term” was used, without specifying what the term was.

Does anyone know the details? I seem to vaguely recall the interview and there might’ve been a reference to native Americans.

The BAI website doesn’t have details of the complaint.

I'd say that there is a left-leaning liberal bias in Journalism generally in Ireland and in RTE in particular.
I say that as a liberal.
RTE refers to Employees as Workers and the Irish Congress of Trade Unions as 'Congress'. It's hardly surprising since RTE is heavily unionised and is, in effect, a State company.
That said I'd rather see that then a few billionaires controlling the media.
For all it's liberal pseudo left wing bombast and preening self-righteousness the Irish Times does allow the odd counter-voice. RTE is like a mouth-piece for the Unions.
