B of I shares certificate - where can I sell them?

I have a certificate of shares in Bank of Ireland and I want to sell it. Pretty worthless but I want to sell so I can put the loss against existing CGT.
- Who do I go to to have the shares sold?
- For a shares certificate, can I sell a portion and retain some for the future?

your stockbroker will want the cert in his possession before selling.

Yes you can sell a portion and retain others.

If you want a cert as a souvenir, sell them all bar one.

I was in a similar position. Stockbroker didn’t charge me commission out of sympathy!

I contacted Goodbodys and they told me for my type of transaction, go to Computer Share Services. They offer a low-cost trading solution and can sell the shares over the phone. https://www.computershare.com/ie
