avg wont update cant find ip address

my avg wont update and my computer keeps telling me that it cant find my ip address. how can i fix this problem?

maybe you have something like (hide my ip address) software running on your computer without knowing. check your programs list to see if there are any programs on the list designed to hide your ip. this should tell you your ip if not its being deliberatly hidden by a program.

Did it ever update OK? Is any other internet access a problem?

its some sort of virus or something. Try to google online virus sites, you cant get to a single one or download the software. its weird.
