I was self employed and director of my own company last year but didn't make any AVCs at the time. There is a pension scheme to which the company made contributions.
I have now gone back to PAYE employment and transferred my tax credits to my new job. My company still exists and I haven't made myself redundant.
I think the general rule is that you have to make AVCs before you leave employment, but in this case, does anyone know if I can make an AVC backdated to last year?
