Assigning one Mortgage Protection policy to 2 mortgages?

Is it possible to assign a mortgage protection policy to 2 mortgages?
Assuming that the amount insured and the term insured is greater than the sum of each mortgage.

If both loans are with the same lender it should be no problem.
