Are there any networking events in the Dublin area?

Hi,

I recently setup a new Recruitment Company and was wondering if there are any networking events in Dublin which are good for new business development. Does anybody know of any good ones?

I used to belong to a Cork Chapter a few years back found it great at the time
 
Check the Enterprise Boards. I think theres a group called LINK associated with the enterprise board that meets in Dublin. I've also heard there are a some 'speed networking' events on in Dublin sometimes. Check out [broken link removed]
 
Thanks, Can anyone think of any other ways to get new business? I really hate cold calling and don't think it works!

As the OP has recognised, I was asking in relation to the industry he is recruiting for.


ARecruiter: Maybe there is some angle you can use for your business that noone else has? Perhaps offering additional consulting services to employers on their existing teams? I think its difficult to cold call as a recruiter as the people you are cold calling possibly get a few calls a day.

My company is fairly small so-far so at the moment unfortunately its hard to find the time to be able to offer any other services. Its a good idea though, thanks.

I know, especially when ringing HR departments - they must get plenty of calls alright!

That's why I'm thinking Networking events are the way to go as people are more open to new businesses there.
