hello all,

I am French but have been working and paying tax in Ireland for the past 8 years. Over the years, I have saved a litle bit of money and would like to wire about 30,000.00 Euro on a French saving account ( I have talked to my bank in France and the funds would be on an interest earning non resident account) . From reading the site and the different threads, I understand I would need to declare the interests to the Irish revenue, even though the interest would already be subject to tax in France: is that correct ?

Now my real interrogation is : lets say, I want to buy a property in Ireland in 2 years and decide to re-wire back this very same 30,000 Euro to my Irish bank account , would this amount be suject to taxation and would it need to be declared or not to the revenue , considering it would not really be a "foreign income" .

I am eager to do the move and wire the funds to my French bank account but I am trying to understand the implications if any , if I needed to resend the money to Ireland at a later date.

thanks a million in advance for your help and guidance.
