Are Rabodirect Safe

Are Rabo Direct a safe bank. Does "Rabobank is licensed by the Dutch Central Bank. RaboDirect's conduct of business in Ireland is also subject to the supervision of the Financial Regulator" which appears on their web page mean exactly the same as "Rabo Direct are regulated by the Financial Controller" which is the exact wording on all financial organisations web pages. Their 5% interest on 10,000 looks very appealing but edgy with the internet banking as it is new to me.
