A number of people have received spam by Private Conversation.

We have a number of measures in place to minimise it.

The Stop Forum Spam facility stopped 26 registrations overnight, but allowed about 5 through.

We had banned new users from starting Private Conversations to prevent this, but had relaxed it some time ago as some new users did need the facility. We have now implemented it again. New users can receive private messages, but can't send them.

In case I have missed any, please report any spam. At the bottom of the private message, you will see

Just click on Report and the mods will ban that user.

I don't think you can delete private conversations, so just ignore it. But if they bother you invite me to join the conversation and I will see if I can delete it.

In the conversations box tick / highlight the one you want to remove and choose "leave conversation" from the drop down list of options. That will delete any messages you dont wish to see again

Or if you are in the unwanted conversation itself, on the top right hand side, you will see

Just click on Leave Conversation and it's deleted.
