A friend of mine bought a pre owned apartment in a complex about 18 months ago. Supposedly there are management fees due for refuse collection, grass cutting, lighting in communal area, etc. The last owner paid something like €1000 p/a. So far there's been no response to letters to the management committee asking how much the fees are nor how to pay them. All the services are being provided though. There is no "office" on site and no-one made themselves known to her in any official capacity.
There's no way she wants to be hit for 2 years fees in a wallop. What's the position? What should she do? Presumably she'll still be liable for last year's fees?
