Anyone ever see something like this on aluclad windows?

Just noticed this earlier today, windows are in about 8 years, patch of discoloration and more worringly what looks like bubbling?

That patch of discolouration looks very like the original coating got damaged and somebody touched it up with paint that is aging differently. Possibly damaged while being installed and covered up? I imagine they were originally powder coated, very different to paint.

The 'bubbling' is filiform corrosion. There is a wide spectrum in the quality of alu-clad windows and none of them are completely maintenance-free.
I would be very surprised if any warranty will cover this unless the coating is Qualicot seaside or equivalent GSB certified.
