HI all

I have an interview coming up with a company dealing with funds (ie manual trades, trade corrections, and exception based trades.

Have 2 questions: In Lehmanns terms what are exception based trades??

And what would be the area of salary going for a position like this? (3.5yrs exp in financial services and QFA qualified)

Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks!!

Haha No!! I wish!

I just dont have a huge amount of experience in the funds sector and amnt to clear on exception trading, or in other words havent a notion what it means!

Sorry - when you said that you had questions I thought you meant that they gave you them in advance of the interview!

In Lehmanns terms what are exception based trades??

Well I'm not sure what Lehmanns will call them but the rest of us lay men call exception based trades the trades that don't go through stp - ie trades that are sitting in a repair queue for some reason or trades that need to be input manually because the system can't handle them correctly.

I'm not so sure about salary but at a guess I would say maybe 35k?, but that is a guess.

Salary would also depend on location. For similar positions there could be a difference of 5k to 10k depending on location being Cork or Dublin for example. There was an article in the Sunday Business Post about 3 weeks ago which gave salary scales for Dublin and outside Dublin - would be worth checking if you could get your hands on it.
