Any views on Carlingford as a location

Interested on people's views on Carlingford as a location to buy a holiday home. Prices have increased hugely there over the past few months but it is so close to Dublin, has a lovely beach and restuarants. Has anyone purchased there or lives there etc? Many thanks

Have been there on several occasions - lovely spot, nice restaurants. Can becomes a bit crowded with Nothern visitors at bank holiday weekends though.

I went up there for a weekend last year & found it was really dead.
If you are into hill walking etc then it is probably a good location. But for me .....I was just a bit bored.

Very picturesque quaint village, nice pubs and restaurants. Can be very quiet in winter months and very busy in summer months and it recently has become a hot spot for stag and hen nights.
