annuity rates information

I've searched to no avail for information as to the rates that Irish pension savers can get on retirement (different ages; different rates of escalation; different surviving spouse provision etc.).

It's almost as if the Irish pensions industry wants to keep this data a secret.

Has anybody got a link or another source?

Where did you search? Online only? I doubt that up to date information on this is available online. You'll probably need to inquire directly with the pension providers or a broker to get current rates and terms & conditions.

That is the Irish LIfe quotation system, upated daily for current prices. Though if you are actually wanting to purchase an annuity, you will need to go through a broker as Irish Life might not give the best rate for your choice.

But its a good tool to see what difference pension increases or spouse's pension make.

Thanks a million for this. I'd been around the web and found nothing. I'm not bothered about the best rate available out there - I simply want some indication as to rates available currently.
