I do the wages in a small company and unfortunately due to the current economic downturn most people presently work when there is work to be done since last January.
Some weeks people have no work and other weeks they might have 3 days and other weeks 5 days.
21 Days Annual Leave + Bank Holidays - Monday to Friday - 39 hour working week. Our annual leave is calculated from 31st Dec to 31st Dec.
Am I correct in my following calculation for the Annual Leave (21 days) or is there an online caluclator anywhere that I could use.
5 days x 52 weeks = 260 work days
260 days ./. 12 months = 21.66
21 days ./. 12 months = 1.75
number of days worked in year divided by 21.66 x 1.75 = holidays due
e.g. 90 days worked ./. 21.66 x 1.75 = 7.27 days holidays due
Am I correct or am I missing something very obvious here.
I am grand on bank holidays - entitled to bank holiday if 40 hrs worked in the previous 5 weeks prior to the day of the bank holiday - I assume 39hrs in our case.
Thank you
On reflection I think that the 260 days should be 239 (260 - 21 days hols)
e.g 90 days worked ./. 19.91 x 1.75 = 7.91 days holidays due
Ah just leave them with the 21 days, surely they deserve it seeing as their hours and subsequently their pay is being cut. It sounds like working on the docks in the old days, ......turn up when there's work to be done.......
