If I have a €3m winning ticket and my son co-signs it, that’s a €1.5m taxable gift.
How could Revenue tackle that, do you think i.e. prove the absence of something, in the face of the only people who know the truth, being willing to lie about it...?
the whole point of the lotto is that it's tax-free
It's only tax free for winners!
If you decide to donate your winnings to Mr Michael Mouse it should be taxed like any other gift.
C'mon now Brendan, there's no way a man of your acumen plays the Lotto...!Hi Rob
I am not giving away any of my lottery winnings so that eliminates Gift Tax completely.
