Amtico Spacia - Difficult to keep clean?

Hi there

We are in the process of renovating, and finally getting to floors and doors stage. I would be grateful for opinions on Amtico for the Kitchen and Bathroom. I have looked at the (more inexpensive) Spacia range, and would love to know if this is okay for cleaning with just the usual hoovering or mopping or is there more to this?? We'd need to lay this before the rest of the bathroom fittings go in, and it will be laid down for a week or two before the builders would be finally finished - would it be totally ruined by the time they left, or will it clean up okay?

Thanks Pie Man and SueEllen for your replies. Think I'll go ahead and place the order on Monday - have some sample tiles since Fri and they look really great. So, in the future I'll be able to offer some (good I hope!) advice on this!

Yes, I saw that it was 3 years old in which case, the OP would be in a good position to give a review of the Amtico Spacia as she had planned to order it at that time

BTW its a type of expensive pvc flooring which has a lot of advantages over the traditional wood/tile floors (warm/soft to walk on , not damaged by water etc)

We got Amtico Spacia in our Hallway and Kitchen about a year ago and find it great. Easy to clean and maintain, really warm compared to tiles and much more resistent that timber. There is a cleaning liquid for Amtico (not expensive) but don't have the name of it at hand.
