Hi Annamaria,
I looked into this social welfare “jungle” a while back for a friend – I’ll dig out my notes. Just to be clear, I’m not an expert in this field but hopefully may be able to help you to make some progress in relation to this.
To get the ball rolling, can you advise please?
1. The month and year of your birth
2. Your relationship status
3. The age you first started making social insurance contributions
4. The total number of years that you have you made social welfare contributions
5. Whether you have you checked your social welfare record with the Department of Social Protection
6. Your employment/self-employment plans between now and retirement age?
7. The reasons for any gaps in social welfare contributions (e.g. say, for example, you were employed abroad, such contributions may help, etc.)
Also, in relation to your private pension – what is the approximate current fund value and in which specific fund is it invested?
Regards,
Dan
