AM I entitled to social welfare

hi, i am a 16 year old who has just been made redundant. i have paid taxes when i worked. Am i entitled to any social welfare?
 
You won't be entitled to Unemployment Assistance - the means tested payment - as you are under 18.

You may be entitled to Unemployment Benefit - non means tested - if you have enough stamps paid. If you have been working for 9 months (39 weeks) since you first started employment you may qualify.
Those 39 credits, while probably in the wrong year, will allow you to claim "Pre-Entry Credits" for the correct year, currently 2004, if you entered the workforce since then.

Drop in to your Social Welfare Local Office and they will check it for you.
