alternative to national geographic

Have subscribed for several years to national geographic but am now totally fed up with over indulgence in american oriented articles.

Does anyone know any good alternatives that have the same theme?

If you can read French, Geo is a good alternative to the National Geographic. Even if you can’t read it, it’s worth a look for the fantastic photography.

I was wondering what was annoying me with the latest issue of NG. You're right, all of the minor stories seem to be about small town america.

If youre a bit more scientifc, the brother gets [/link=www.scientificamerican.com]scientific american [/link] and swears by it. Think its a bit more pricey then NG tho.
