When I put my alarm on I can open all the windows and it doesn't go off. The alarm company told me that it will only go off when there is a vibration, ie. forced entry from the outside.

However, when I open my patio door or front door, it goes off straight away. I have been told that this is because there is a "contact sensor" on the doors, unlike the windows.

I have had a lot of trouble with this alarm company in the past and I don't trust the staff - can anyone confirm this is true ? Thanks

Did you delete my reply??

When a mod asks an OP to clarify a thread title, we generally temporarily hide any replies. This is to encourage the OP to edit the title as requested so that we can keep AAM as easy to use and search as possible.

If/when the OP obliges, then any hiden replies are reinstated.

In this case, the OP chose not to edit the title, so the thread is closed.
