Alarm panel sounding

Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone had any experience of this problem. for the last while my house alarm, while unset, will trigger and the 'tamper' light comes on. just a loud tone comes out of the control panel, not the outside or inside alarm bells. just this really annoying high pitched tone, anyway normally i reset the panel and it's fine.

last night however every time i reset the panel the tamper light would remain on and flashing and couldn't get it to clear. it eventually cleared after about 20 tries and then an hour later when i was in bed it went off again. i cant work out what is triggering this, does anyone know what to do? it's an intellisense securit 800L. I've checked all sensors, seem fine, doors and windows all closed and locked, cant figure what is triggering it to sound the tamper. but it keeps going off. what should i do? thanks in advance for any help, it is so annoying when you're trying to sleep!

The tamper could relate a connection problem on any of the devices or The bell or panel. You would need to isolate the tampers one by one to see if the problem goes away

Thanks Colm
think i'll have to get an electrician in or something, i'd have no idea how to go about isolating zones or anything. eek.

PM me your details if your in or around Dublin.
Remember most electricians are NOT PSA licenced so it is illegal for you to employ them to look at any security systems

oh right, i wasn't aware of that. i'll contact an alarm company then as i don't even know what company installed it, there are no details on the manual just the manufacturers address. i'm not in Dublin, but thanks anyway, appreciate the advice

ye dont have to be psa licenced to look at a fault on a alarm system .only to install one and only psa approved systems which doesnt include this one sorry colm

Sorry you are wrong..
You need to be PSA licenced to work on any alarm system now.
Please explain what you mean by only PSA approved systems?
