Hi all,
I am connecting a digi dialer to an existing ARITECH CS350 alarm panel. The digi dialer is a ARITECH TD8803. I have the wiring completed the programming is proving to be a little tricky (for me). When my alarm goes off now I can only get it to dail a number (i.e my mobile) and when I answer I just get nothing....just silence (probably supposed to be..not sure, there is no mike to record) My quiestion is how do I get it to just send me a text instead of going to the bother of ringing me..at least I will know whats going on, at the moment its as useful as pouring a beer into a bucket of sawdust. Any help aprrecaited.

Kind Rgds

See here, connect a phone to the line socket to record the message.

Oops, that 'here' was supposed to be more like this one [broken link removed]!!

Thanks Leo I have that but I connect telephone into ab and connect house network jack into other ab according to dia, but when i go to start recording it does not record what I say, I get silence. I have Call account set to VOICE as opposed to the other formats of SIA, PAGER and so on.

Thanks for help

From what I read of the guide, you disconnect the phone line when recording. Will take another read of it later.

your missing a voice dialer for recording the messages on to the panel. the phone line should stay there. main line ab - to house phones cd. its called line priority.

Jason thanks for the reply. Okay I will try that. My main problem now is that it will not stop ringing my number. Even when there is no alarm, once I switch on the alarm I get a phone call, its driving me demented. I wish I could just get one phone call when alarm goes off and thats all, even without a voice message at this satge. Anyone have any more info on the programming ..all welcome.

Jason, Here is wiring manual, see page 9. If you are familiar with wiring maybe you can see some issue, if not np.
[broken link removed]
The wiring that may be wrong and causing me confusion is terminations on Digi dialler no.’s 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 and 1 , 2 and M. M is for a mikephone so I have not connected (not an issue)
1,2,3,4, appear to connect 7,8,9, and 10 in CS350 (that’s fine) , next, 5,6,7,8 appear from drawing to be linked out..continous loop which finally loops with terminal B -ive on the Digit Dialler.
From the drawing it shows 5,6,7, and 8 as switches which are in parallel but is this internally in the Dialler or do I need to wire these terminal points to outputs? ( i.e. out puts on CS350 control panel).
Next terminals 1 and 2, terminal one on Digi appears to connect directly into terminal 19 on CS350, is this correct? And finally terminal 2 on Dialler looks like it connects into A+ ive on dialler ?
To clarify.

CS350 PANLE ......................DIALER
20--------------------------------to terminal No. 1 below (where 1 is also connected to no.11)
15---------------------------- D
14---------------------------- C
13---------------------------- B -ive (also linked with 5,6,7,8 below)
12 --------------------------- A +ive (also linked with No. 2 below)

11 --------------------------- 1
10---------------------------- 2 (terminal 2 linked with A +ive above)
9 -----------------------------3
8 ---------------------------- 4
[5
[6 Linked these out with terminal B-ive (above)
