Case study AIB has offered me a split mortgage - I am in positive equity

Well had the house valued and have been told it would go on the market for 150/160, so not in positive equity as previously though!!! I was told the terms of the first split over the phone so I never had any paperwork, can I still challenge them to have the original split back?

OK, the key question remains the same.

If you surrender the house, will you be able to rent a house for less than €857 per month? I suspect not. That would make this a good deal.

However, it's still worth going back to them and ask for the original split. If it's refused, you could ask for your file under the Data Protection Act to see if they made a record of it.
