AI investment

I would wonder if investing in specific market sectors like this is appropriate for your situation based on previous threads such as this:
A Money Makeover would give people a lot more information/context on which to base advice but you haven't done one in spite of it being suggested several times. Your prerogative obviously, but not doing one will limit the usefulness/specificity of any feedback posted here.

Aren't AI valuations are off the charts and people are spooked that they are going to crash like the dot com bubble.

If you're looking at a long time frame you might think about quantum computing stocks which haven't peaked but will be an adjunct to future Ai.

AI is not going to be a sector in the way that pharmaceutical is a sector.

If AI is a runaway success it will be embedded in pretty much every product out there. OK, I exaggerate slightly , but you got my point.

Agree AI is not a sector and shouldnt be thouggt of as such. Not sure anyone would suggest it is?

Its akin to the internet in that it applies in many ways and will be pervasive.

Piped water and lecky are nesessities. Ai is not.

Ai is more like internet imo. A game changing technology, not a nessessity but potebtially revolutionary.

I could do. I did recently when on holiday. Internet isnt a nessessity in same way piped water is or electricity is. Its pretty important but not a nessessity, in my humble opinion at least anyway.

But back to the point - AI, for me, is akin to internet in that its going to very important.

Folks

The Posting Guidelines are very clear - no stock tipping.

11 We don't discuss individual shares
You won't find any messages suggesting investing in CRH or asking if AIB is a good investment. That is not the purpose of Askaboutmoney. We don't facilitate stock tipping or speculation about the future performance of individual shares. There are other forums which discuss individual shares such as The Investments and Markets Forum of boards.ie

This does not stop you discussing AI or any other sector.
And it does not stop you discussing ETFs or other forms of collective investments.

A handful of the big names in AI are still private companies, but virtually all the rest involved developing AIs, productising them or making the hardware are in the NASDAQ100. If those private companies go public they will also be in it.
