Has anyone been able to get through to liberty home? I was advised to call back the week of the 13th but the phone has not answered. I have been around and the builders are back working on site. I did find out that they are still waiting on the esb and this could delay the completion

Has anyone heard any more information?

Hi Niall,

I was on to Liberty this morning, was speaking to Fiona. She gave me the number for the site but they aren't picking up!

Yea I think a house call might be needed as I have been trying them non-stop for yesterday and today.
I really do need measurement of the house type a if anyone has them I would be extremely grateful

Re: Affordable housing at phibblestown wood

hi folks,

I got through to the site and spoke to a very nice woman. It was last week sometime. I have never found Liberty Homes great to answer questions, I always ring the site.

They are nearly ready to hand over for the snag. Most likely towards the end of August. ESB are in and have 10 units finished. She also told me that they will fire up the boilers for a full week to check everything is in working order before they hand them over. She assured me we were nearly there and asked me to ring back in the middle of the month, which I guess is the end of this week.

She also asked for the number of my unit and then was able to tell me that they had to fit the gas metre to mine yet.

Hope that helps

Hi all,

me and my boyfriend are buying house <number of house snipped by moderator> in Phibblestown wood.

Would anybody have a phone number to contact to get news on the snag?

I went to Liberty Homes web site but could not find it there.

Many thanks!

Hi Mustang!

Liberty Homes number is: 01 2946180

The site number is: 01 6402621 - I got through to them on Monday and they reckon snags will begin Mid-Sept.

If you find anything else out let us know :)

Best of Luck!

Re: Affordable housing at phibblestown wood

Spoke to liberty few days ago they confirmed about 2 weeks snagging. also suggested them to contact magnet (in case if not late) to connect our estate to magnet service. ([broken link removed]) was told that they will try and will contact with descision/answers.

also called fingal's solicitor, they said that had some discussusion with (afaiu) affordable houses and planning to fix this about 3 weeks time. after that they will contact our solicitors to send contracts.

now the question: is it possible to do snagging before sign contract?

cheers!

Re: Affordable housing at phibblestown wood

Did they say the estate would be sold only to magnet, as there rate of 83 for Limited broadband (8gb), phone and TV is not great compared to ntl 50 unlimited broadband phone and more TV channels.

One of my friends near by the developer sold the right to the TV and internet off and no one there is able to get a good deal as they are tied to one company

Re: Affordable housing at phibblestown wood

I was on to the developer this morning - he said that while some are signed and ready to go, AHP haven't released a form of some kind, letting them send out contracts yet.

Anyone who has signed already will be getting invited to snag the week after next. ESB are fitting meters at the moment and everything is ready to start moving once they get the go ahead to send out the remaining contracts...

A little concerned about all this Magnet business....?

Re: Affordable housing at phibblestown wood

Not sure if I'm imagining it, but when I was in the show house I think I saw an NTL connection. Generally if a developer sells the rights, does it mean we won't be able to get SKY or some other service?

Re: Affordable housing at phibblestown wood

about magnet:
i am a customer of magnet broadband at the moment. 2mbit/128kbit. speed is perfect. never see better here in ireland. they provide all services over phone cable, not like ntl through cable. 83 full pack include line rental for phone and unlimited calls national wide. 8mbit is sync line, not async, so 8 mbit sownload and 8 mbit upload. ntl as far as i know 6 mbit down and 512 kbit up. more choise better value.

in any cases, lady from liberty home called me this morning. and all time she repeat: we provied only basic ntl package....
looks like they have agreement with ntl do not allow any other companies on estate market. pitty.

Re: Affordable housing at phibblestown wood

in my understanding of all these things: magnet need agreement to bring some equipment to exchange box (hub for estate phones). then anybody who whish to switch from eircom to magnet just call them and bingo. they reswitch you on this box to their line. send you a topbox which you connect to phoneline and to tv. and adsl modem. that's it.

Re: Affordable housing at phibblestown wood

Probably best to keep this thread to issues related to the houses/mortgages and contracts and to discuss services related to the estate here:

Has anyone signed their contracts yet? Any idea what this form is Phibbleberry that they are waiting on??

Re: Affordable housing at phibblestown wood

Hey,

No, no idea at all, he just said they can't release the contracts til AHP give them this 'form'? I presume its a legal document of sorts...

Once AHP releases this form, contracts will go out...and bingo, we can start getting in, snagging, measuring etc..

Re: Affordable housing at phibblestown wood

So in my understanding - we can not do snagging before sign contract. am i right?

Re: Affordable housing at phibblestown wood

I don't think so, no....

Hopefully contracts go out in the next few days (thats what AHP are saying anyway, heard that one before) and we'll be invited to snag over the next few weeks, starting the week after next!
